08.05.2014, 07:00 | Ad hoc announcement pursuant to Art. 53 LR

Lausanne - Patrick Mariller, Alpiq Executive Board Member and Chief Financial Officer has decided to leave the company for personal reasons.

Patrick Mariller joined EOS Holding as the CFO in 2003. At Alpiq he was appointed as Head of Planning & Controlling and Deputy CFO. Since October 2012, he has been responsible for Alpiq Holding AG’s finances as the CFO and Executive Board Member.

In 2013, important financial milestones were achieved. Divestments amounting to around CHF 1.6 billion resulted in the reduction of net debt and ensured the Group’s capital market capability. The company was able to strengthen its balance sheet with the successful placement of a hybrid bond amounting to over CHF 1 billion. Initiated cost reduction measures made an impact in 2013 and will continue to be pursued. Furthermore, Alpiq currently has a liquidity of around CHF 2.2 billion.

The leaving date will be communicated at a later point in time. Until then, Patrick Mariller will continue to assume full responsibility as the CFO.

The Board of Directors and CEO Jasmin Staiblin respect his decision and thank Patrick Mariller for his valuable contribution as well as for his long-standing commitment to the Alpiq Group.
