Lausanne – Andreas Büttiker was newly elected to the Board of Directors at the Alpiq Holding Ltd. Annual General Meeting held on 30 April 2024. He replaces Conrad Ammann, who did not stand for re-election after 12 years on the board. The new Vice President of the Board of Directors is François Gabella.
At the ordinary Annual General Meeting of Alpiq Holding Ltd. held in Veytaux (VD) on 30 April 2024, Conrad Ammann was honoured for his many years of commitment to the Alpiq Board of Directors. “Conrad Ammann’s leadership and wealth of knowledge in the energy sector has helped shape Alpiq’s development over many years, and he has done so with great care and empathy,” said Johannes Teyssen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alpiq. “We are very grateful to him for that.” Conrad Ammann was CEO of Primeo Energie Ltd. in Münchenstein until 30 April 2023 and had been a member of the Alpiq Board of Directors since 2012, most recently also holding the position of Vice President. The new Vice President is François Gabella, who was elected to the Board of Directors in December 2023.
The Annual General Meeting elected Andreas Büttiker as a new member of the Board of Directors. The 63-year-old from Switzerland has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of EBM (Genossenschaft Elektra Birseck)/Primeo Energie Group since 2022. Between 1996 and the end of May 2023, he was CEO of the Basel public transport company BLT Baselland Transport AG. Andreas Büttiker is an economist who graduated from the University of Basel, completed the Executive Program at Stanford University (USA) and is on the CAS Board of Directors at the University of Bern/Rochester (USA).
The Annual General Meeting of Alpiq Holding Ltd. then approved the 2023 consolidated and annual financial statements. The proposal to distribute a dividend totalling CHF 116 million for 2023 was also approved.
