The IT Process Engineer is a vital role within the IT Risks, Processes, and Controls team, responsible for the meticulous analysis, documentation and optimization of IT processes. Alpiq is improving its IT processes to increase its efficiency and process maturity. This role ensures that all IT processes are standard across all of IT. Processes will be accurately represented in Signavio, a leading process management platform, to Alpiq standards. The IT Process Engineer plays a key role working with process owners across the IT departments to enhance operational efficiency and compliance through continuous process improvement.
Your profile
:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT process engineering, or a similar role, with a strong background in using process management tools like Signavio.
- Demonstrated experience in process documentation, analysis, and improvement within an IT context.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset for measuring process performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with process owners and stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage projects, including change management initiatives, with a track record of successful implementation.
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT , CMMI , ISO 9001 .) and understanding of compliance requirements impacting IT processes.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in process management (e.g., Six Sigma, BPM) are highly desirable.
Your main responsibilities
:
- Align current IT processes to standardize across IT.
- Analyse IT processes to specify requirements that standardize, simplify and improve efficiency in the IT Group.
- Ensure the documentation of all IT processes in Signavio, ensuring they are current, accurate, and in alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
- With IT process owners clearly define and document their roles and responsibilities. Provide ongoing support to ensure they fulfill their process-related duties effectively.
- Regularly review existing and implement recommendations IT processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or compliance gaps.
- Facilitate the adoption of new processes within the IT department. Aligning with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
- Develop and deliver training materials related to process changes and improvements. Raise awareness among IT staff about the importance of process discipline and compliance.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the performance and effectiveness of IT processes. Use data-driven insights to inform continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Engage with a broad range of stakeholders within the IT department and across the organization to ensure alignment of IT processes with business objectives and user needs.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in process management and IT governance. Incorporate relevant best practices into IT process documentation and improvement initiatives.
