Are you passionate about the energy trading markets and eager to dive into a dynamic trading environment? Join our Trading Division at the earliest opportunity as an Intern for a 6-month period, where you will work closely with the COO (Trading Division) team to assess and enhance various front office processes related to Asset, Trading, and Origination. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy trading while contributing to transformative initiatives within the industry.
Your main responsibilities
- Support the COO (Trading Division) team in identifying control gaps and enhancing front office processes.
- Collaborate with front office, Middle Office, Back Office, IT and other key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and the development of new features.
- Analyze existing processes to distill information into actionable plans or clear functional business requirements.
- Participate in front office-driven transformation initiatives aimed at improving data management, trading systems, analytics, and business processes.
Your profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, with coursework in energy markets or trading in other asset classes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise solutions.
- A strong passion for the energy sector and a desire to expand your knowledge.
- Swiss or EU passport (unfortunately we cannot sponsor non-EU Visas for this role).
- Quantitative and coding skills are advantageous.
- A self-starter who can work independently when necessary and is also effective in collaborative environments.
- Being empathetic, results-oriented, and flexible are your additional assets.
- Availability to work in Olten or Lausanne (Hybrid).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders.
- Full proficiency in English, additional languages (French, German, others) are an energy plus.
