Andreas Richner to take over as Head of the new functional unit Communications & Public Affairs

Lausanne –Alpiq has decided to unite the functional units Communications & Public Affairs. Andreas Richner will take over as the head of this new unit.

Given the challenging market environment, shaped by dynamic framework conditions, Alpiq has decided to unite the functional units Communications & Public Affairs into one organisational entity.

Andreas Richner (47) will take over the lead of the new functional unit as the Head of Communications & Public Affairs on 1 October 2015. He will report directly to the CEO. Currently, he is the Head of Corporate Affairs at Nestlé Switzerland. Before moving to Nestlé Switzerland in 2011, he worked at the largest Swiss communications agency, Farner Consulting AG, for 15 years, in his last function as the Managing Director of the Berne location and as a Member of the Executive Board.

Andreas Richner holds a Master’s Degree in History, Political Science, and Constitutional Law from the University of Berne. In 2011, he obtained a postgraduate degree in Business Law from the University of St.Gallen.
