The Monte Mele wind farm in Sicily, Italy

The Monte Mele wind farm is located next to the same named photovoltaic system and has a unique view of the Mediterranean Sea. The wind farm has been in operation since 2005 and consists of 11 wind turbines in the territories of Agrigento and Realmonte in the Sicilian province of Agrigento. Alpiq took over the wind farm in 2018. It provides an output of about 9 MW.

The Ennese wind farm in Sicily, Italy

Sicily offers optimal conditions for the utilisation of wind energy. The Ennese wind farm is located some 30 km west of the city of Catania. Alpiq was already involved in the construction of the wind farm in 2006 in order to gain know-how relating to the development of wind energy. On the hills of Ramacca, Raddusa and Castel di Iudica, 47 turbines utilise wind energy and together generate an output of 70.5 MW.

The Le Peuchapatte wind farm in the Swiss Jura

The Peuchapatte wind farm, put into operation in January 2011, is Alpiq's first wind farm in Switzerland. Its production of around 13.5 GWh per year covers the equivalent of 3% of the electricity consumption of the Canton Jura.

The Roussa-Gravières wind farm in France

With a capacity of 10.5 MW, the wind farm Roussas-Gravières produces an average of around 21 GWh of electricity per year. Acquired by Alpiq in 2008, the wind farm is located in the municipality of Roussas in the department of Drôme at the gateway to Provence, where the strong and regular mistral wind blows.

The Cattolica Eraclea wind farm in Sicily, Italy

The wind farm has a capacity of 40 MW and comprises 20 wind turbines, located in the Sicilian province of Agrigento. Enpower 3 has been in service since 2011.

The Cers wind farm in France

Alpiq acquired a share in the Cers wind farm in 2010. It is located in the well-known wine-growing area of Les Corbières not far from the town of Carcassonne, which offers excellent wind conditions. The installed capacity is 11.5 MW.

The Rocca Rossa wind farm in Sicily, Italy

The wind farm has been in operation since 2011 and consists of 42 wind turbines that are installed in the Sicilian provinces of Caltanissetta, Palermo and Agrigento. The wind farm provides an output of 84 MW.

The Tormoseröd Wind Park, which consists of 11 high-capacity turbines with a combined installed capacity of 72.6 MW, will produce approximately 220 GWh of renewable energy annually − enough to power around 8000 Swedish households.

Bel Coster, Switzerland

Bel Coster is a wind farm project with nine turbines and a capacity of 27 MW. The site is located in the canton of Vaud on the border between the communities of Ballaigues, L'Abergement and Lignerolle. Its commissioning is planned for 2029.

EolJorat Nord, Switzerland

The EolJorat Nord project foresees four wind energy turbines, each with a power of 3 to 4 MW, in the border areas between the municipalities of Corcelles-le-Jorat, Froideville, Jorat-Menthue and Poliez-Pittet. The wind conditions and the topography on the Jorat, the highest peak of the Vaud plateau, are particularly well suited for the responsible use of wind energy.

Tous-Vents wind farm, Switzerland

Tous-Vents, Switzerland

The Tous-Vents wind farm will consist of seven turbines, each with a power of 3 to 4 MW, located on the border between the Gros-de-Vaud and Jura-Nord Vaudois districts. Thanks to its renewable generation of electricity, the wind farm will contribute towards ensuring the canton of Vaud’s local and sustainable security of supply.
