Join our IT Data team as a Data Governance Expert, playing an important role in transforming our organization into a data-driven enterprise. This position involves implementing a comprehensive data catalog, ensuring data quality, and fostering a culture of informed decision-making. Work alongside business stakeholders to define data assets, develop models, and lead the technical implementation of key data governance strategies.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in computer engineering or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in data governance, data modeling, or data engineering.
- Expertise in SQL, data modeling techniques, and data catalog tools.
- Proficiency with data storage technologies such as data lakes and warehouses.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and experience in agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of data mesh architectures and domain-driven data design is an advantage.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
Your main responsibilities
- Develop and execute a data catalog strategy aligned with governance objectives and collaborate with stakeholders to create a business glossary of data terms and definitions.
- Oversee the technical implementation of the data catalog, including data lineage and quality and metadata management.
- Advise business teams on data governance best practices and ensure adherence to governance policies and standards.
- Develop programs to enhance data literacy across the organization and promote a culture of data-driven decision-making through workshops and training.
- Build strong relationships with IT teams, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
