Alpiq will supply energy to 11 Bimbo factories in Spain

Through this agreement, the international energy group will supply a total of 164 GWh in 2025 and 2026, enabling Grupo Bimbo to optimize the company’s operational efficiency.

Grupo Bimbo, the world’s largest and leading baking company, has announced the signing of a strategic electricity supply agreement with Alpiq to provide more efficient energy to its main production centres across Spain. This agreement, which will extend through 2025 and 2026, will allow Grupo Bimbo to advance in energy efficiency while ensuring a responsible and competitive energy supply for its operations in the country.

Alpiq will supply a total of 164 GWh over the two-year period, delivering 82 GWh annually to meet the energy demand of Grupo Bimbo’s facilities. As a result of this partnership, Grupo Bimbo is incorporating PPA contracts into its business processes, helping ensure reliable and competitive energy stability for the company over the next two years.
