Our leadership principles

Our four leadership principles are a natural extension of our four company values. They serve as a foundation for the behaviours that we expect from our leaders.  

As all leaders bring unique attributes that directly influence their leadership style, these four leadership principles represent a common denominator for how we understand leadership at ALP1Q. 

We believe in a leadership style called Secure Base Leadership (SBL). This is a coaching-centric leadership style that strongly builds on our company values. SBL goes beyond conventional managerial norms, and ensures that a collaborative, power-with, coaching mindset permeates our cultural fabric. 

You may ask, why do we believe so strongly in SBL? Why is this our understanding of leadership? This leadership philosophy encourages collaboration and empowerment, nurturing an environment ripe for perpetual learning and growing. It elevates communication and teamwork by prioritising active listening, empathy and open discourse, forging secure bases for constructive dialogue and daring decisions. Ultimately, it cultivates a high-performance culture, one of profound critical thinking and ownership among all team members.
