Norvento entrusts 222 MW of wind power to Alpiq in its new agreement

The agreement, covering nine wind sites, includes the management of an estimated 0.8 TWh of renewable energy production through 2026.

Norvento and Alpiq have reached a new collaboration agreement under which Alpiq will provide market representation services for a total of 222 MW distributed across nine wind farms located in Galicia.

Through this alliance, Alpiq will manage part of Norvento’s assets, including the repowering of six sites (128 MW) and the addition of three new sites (94 MW). This contract strengthens Norvento’s confidence in Alpiq as a strategic partner and highlights Alpiq’s ability to optimize energy performance in a competitive environment.

According to Paula del Castillo, Country Manager of Alpiq in Spain, “This agreement with Norvento not only reaffirms our expertise in renewable energy management but also reinforces our commitment to a sustainable future. This agreement further strengthens Alpiq’s position as a leader in the flexible management of wind and solar photovoltaic assets enabled for participation in Balancing Markets within the Iberian Market. It also reaffirms Alpiq’s commitment to developing innovative energy solutions that create value for large-scale producers while supporting the transition to a more sustainable future.
