Zurich – In the course of its strategy implementation, Alpiq continues to expand market leadership in the area of energy efficiency. IReL AG, a Basel-Country-based company, has been taken over in this context. IReL offers customised solutions for smart buildings in Northwestern and Central Switzerland.
Alpiq and customers will benefit equally from IReL’s expertise through this integration. The company offers customised solutions in the areas of building automation, measurement, control and management technology as well as installation inspection. IReL is headquartered in Liestal (BL), and has a subsidiary in Hünenberg (ZG). The company employs some 30 employees. Alpiq has taken over the company from Elektra Baselland (EBL). The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Existing IReL orders and maintenance contracts will be taken over in compliance with agreements. Existing guarantees and commitments will also be met.
