OT Network & System Engineer

Within the OT Operation team, we are recruiting an excellent OT Network & Systems Engineer in Lausanne. This person will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of SCADA systems and completing projects to agreed quality and deadlines. The current team consists of 5 engineers.

Your responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the operation and parameterization of SCADA systems (image creation, configuration of production programs, signals and communications, control) as well as other OT systems.
  • Participate in various OT projects, including the central SCADA renewal project.
  • Collect, process and analyze real-time data from industrial control systems and Alpiq partners.
  • Integrate SCADA systems with other technologies and equipment (PLC, RTU, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the OT security team and participate in reinforcing the security of SCADA systems.
  • Ensure service continuity (Business Continuity Test, Recovery plan, etc.).
  • Carry out tests and simulations to verify system reliability and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to SCADA systems, signal exchange systems, data historization systems.
  • Participate in the drafting of technical documentation, user manuals and maintenance procedures.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams (systems, telecommunications and OT security engineers) to optimize industrial processes.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to dispatching users.
  • Participate in the OT environment standby service.

Your profile

  • Degree in a technical college or university in the fields of electricity, energy or systems engineering.
  • At least 5 years' experience (mastery of applications in the OT - SCADA world)
  • Knowledge of electrical production (substation control concepts, regulation, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of real-time exchange applications and partners involved in these exchanges
  • Experience in the energy (production and/or trading preferred), utilities or commercial sectors
  • Good project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent teamwork and resilience skills
  • Very good analytical and decision-making skills
  • Empathy, customer focus, stability and quality orientation
  • You are a good communicator, native French speaker with a very good level of English; German an asset.
  • Availability for on-call duty
  • Swiss or EU passport required
