We are seeking a Junior Business Development Manager (m/f/d) to support the implementation of new business processes and new products for Alpiq Northwest Europe in cooperation with colleagues from Origination and internal stakeholders.

From our offices in Finland, Norway and Germany, we provide origination products and services for the Northwest European region. Our service portfolio includes: PPAs, long-term deliveries, flow deals, balancing payments and other structured origination products.

Our goal is to provide best-in-class services to renewable energy producers, large industrial consumers, portfolio managers and retailers in the Northwest European market.

Your main responsibilities

  • Supporting the commercial analysis of new and existing products in the field of renewable energy sources, including PPAs, direct marketing (wind, solar, biogas), flexibility, etc.
  • Support in monitoring regulatory developments and determining the impact on our existing and planned business in NWE, including support in implementing regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the development, implementation and optimization of existing or new processes, e.g. in the back office, EDM and for relevant interfaces to intraday trading as well as for our customer portfolio
  • Support in project management and coordination with internal departments, including energy data management, legal, IT, back office and intraday, as well as with external stakeholders
  • Supporting the development and establishment of partnerships and networks in the field of renewables and flexibility
  • Support in the analysis of business opportunities

Your profile

  • Degree with a focus on economics, IT or technology
  • First experience in analysing products and developing new business models
  • First experience in process optimisation and/or software implementation projects
  • Strong team orientation and very good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work cooperatively and to build partnerships
  • Goal-orientated with a high degree of self-motivation
  • Excellent organisational skills and structured way of working, experience in project management
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
