Alpiq Spain

Alpiq Spain (Alpiq Energía España) has been part of the Alpiq Group for 25 years. We operate one of the most important flexible energy production assets, the Plana del Vent combined cycle plant, in Tarragona. Plana del Vent is a highly available, flexible and efficient facility that is capable of supplying energy whenever the system needs it.

Hands-on expertise our customers can rely on

The knowledge acquired by Alpiq Spain in the operation and commercial management of the Plana del Vent facility allows us to offer our services to other generation asset owners, optimising their operation and energy dispatch in different markets to maximise value creation. Alpiq Spain is a reliable partner for generating value from energy assets, both our own and those of third parties. We help to minimise market exposure, optimising our clients’ portfolios through short- and long-term trading and using digital platforms to facilitate real time trading.

A collaborative and highly committed approach

We believe in collaboration as a driver of growth, working together with our partners to build a more efficient and sustainable energy future. Our nearly 100 team members work across different projects to acquire a 360-degree view of the business. At Alpiq Spain, our commitment is clear: to accompany our customers on their path towards efficiency and sustainability, supported by the experience and strength of a leading European energy group.
