The Moos hydroelectric power plant, constructed in 1945 and refurbished in 1998, generates electricity that covers the consumption of more than 1,300 households. It is located on the River Birs, upstream from the village of Grellingen in canton Basel-Land. The Kaplan turbine with a diameter of 165 cm has a maximum output of 880 kW.
