The three power stations Tannuwald, Gabi and Gondo harness the water inflows from the catchment area south of the Simplon Pass to generate electricity. The water can be stored temporarily at the Fah, Eggen and Sera dams and made available as needed. The Gondo power station has been refurbished in 2017, the Tannuwald power station in 2020 and the Gabi power station in 2023.
