#prixalpiq: submit your projects!

03/03/2025, 10:00 | Blog

Alpiq, in partnership with the Association des communes concédantes du Valais, is launching the fifth edition of the #prixalpiq. This initiative rewards sustainable water management projects supported by municipalities in the Valais. Project leaders have until 15 September 2025 to submit their application and try to win the #prixalpiq 2025 or the Coup de Cœur du Jury.

Concrete results

The #prixalpiq has enabled the development of numerous concrete solutions in Valais over the last four years. The municipality of Grimisuat won the 2024 edition with its project “Grimisuat Irrigation Network: Sustainable Water Storage and Management”. “The award will bring visibility to our global approach. In a context of unavoidable climate change, in a dry canton like Valais, water management will be a central issue in the coming years”, explains Raphaël Vuigner, president of the municipality of Grimisuat.

Another example is the municipalities of Finhaut and Trient, which in 2023 received the Coup de Cœur du Jury for their awareness-raising project “Saving water, it's obvious” - a communication campaign that aims to bring about a lasting change in the inhabitants’ relationship with water in order to reduce its consumption.

For the fifth consecutive year, Alpiq, in partnership with the Association of Granting Municipalities of Valais (ACC), is launching the #prixalpiq, a call for projects for sustainable water management in Valais.

“Water, the source of life but also sometimes of disasters. Water, a vital resource that sometimes flows in abundance, sometimes even overflows, but which is also increasingly scarce. Preserving this resource and improving its consumption has become crucial for all its users. By joining forces and working together, we will be more successful. That is why, through the #prixalpiq, we support sustainable water management projects in all areas.”
