Situated at an altitude of 1,930 metres, the Emosson reservoir is fed by water from the Mont Blanc massif, the Aiguilles Rouges and the Val Ferret. Energy is generated in the Vallorcine and Martigny-La Bâtiaz stations located around 1,470 meters lower down.
