Tomils drinking water power plant

Tomils drinking water power plant

The Tomils small hydropower plant was constructed during the course of the renovation of the drinking water supply of the municipality of Tomils. The reservoir in Tomils is fed by the overrun from the reservoir in Trans via a new pipeline connection. The water drops 530 metres from the Trans reservoir and drives a Pelton turbine in a separate turbine shaft next to the reservoir in Tomils. The additional costs for the construction of the power station were borne by Entegra Wasserkraft AG, which in return was granted the rights of use to operate the plant.
