The small-scale hydropower plant is located in the village of Lavin in the Lower Engadine region in the canton of Grisons. It utilises the hydraulic energy of the River Lavinuoz over a drop of 360 metres in a four-jet vertical Pelton turbine and generates energy for more than 2,400 households. The newly constructed power plant was connected to the grid in the spring of 2014.
