The Model small hydropower station on the River Thur in Weinfelden in the canton of Thurgau generates 2,510,000 kWh of electricity per year. This is equivalent to the consumption of more than 550 households. The Kaplan turbine, which was installed in 1942, has a maximum output of 418 kW.
